Shockwave wound channel pics
Well I butchered my buck from monday ,this morning and heres what the holes look like. The load was a 250gr shockwave w/ MMP sabot @2000fps MV (cronied, Savage 10ML/ 40grs imr4759).

I am guessing the deer dropped in their tracks but was flopping around when you got up to it. You broke it down it looks like. And the bullet looks like it did a good job... thanks for the photos.

glad that u got your deers ...i got 2 also but i had to go after them ,they both ran as if not hit at all ..no blood trail ,lucky for me i had snow on the ground ,made tracking easy . they both ran away for 75 to 100 yards before dropping dead ..i used 250 gr. HORNADY SST with T7 powder ...in my T/C ENCORE ..both were hit in vital spot ,complete pass-through and not a drop of blood on the snow ...i will now switch over to BARNES TMZ 250 gr. from what i read they give a good blood trail ...

I wonder how the Barnes Spit Fire TMZs match up accuracy wise with the S/Ws. I see the weights are very close and they look almost identical minus the boattail. Anyone tried to alternate the 290 Spit Fire TMZ for the 300 S/W for POI change?
