I am real pleased with mine. It is a good shooter and easy to clean. Just keep track of the three allen bolts that take the gun apart. Some are longer then others and they go in certain spots.

I have one also. I got the blue/black model on sale from Cabela's. I wasn't looking for an in-line, but with the MFR's rebate it cost me $100, so figured I couldn't lose.

I like the gun a lot. I do not care for the ramrod. The design prevents a rod of a useable length from being stored under the barrel, so they employed an extendable rod that seems very likely to bend or break. The rod isn't really long enough to easily clean the gun even when extended. Most use a cleaning rod anyway.

Mine really likes Hornady FPBs with 100 gr Pyrodex RS.

This T handle short starter will turn your extended ramrod into a cleaning rod. Just take the end off it and it will screw into the back side of the Genesis ramrod and gives you all the control and pulling power you will need to get the job done...

Their ramrod is not the greatest. This seems to be a trend with many of the new rifles. On the range, I use a range rod. But I can (and have) load with the supplied rod, which is all that is important. As that is all it is going to be used for.

I have yet to try those FPB's uncle norby but when Wal Mart puts them on sale, I intend to get me some and see how they shoot... thanks for the tip. Have you noticed this rifle likes Pyrodex and Goex better then Triple Se7en?

Cayugad

I understand about the rod, still bugs me though. When I reload the end of the rod (not extended) is almost flush with the end of the muzzle.

I have not shot any other powder than Pyrodex RS. The only loadI have ever tried in the gun is 100 gr and the FPB. I've shot the gun a grand total of 8 times, and my jug of Pyrodex is over 3/4 full. At this rate it will be a while before I run out. ButI do want to try BH 209 at some point. As far as I know, the Genesis breech plug is compatible with BH 209, correct?

A fine ML for the $. There are better ones out there but the Genesis is nothing to sneeze at. And the accuracy from mine is more than acceptable. Some of the guys that have them are getting good accuracy results with 100 gr of Pyrodex P and a 300 gr .430" XTP bullet and greencrush rib sabot.

Yes, they will shoot BlackHorn 209 just fine. I was shooting mine with the last of my second jug. Now I have to just shoot off all the other powder I have around the house.

Like I said, that ramrod is a PITA but you can load with it. And since that is all I ever use a gun's ramrod for, that is not a problem to me. I always use a 34 inch stainless steel range rod for loading and cleaning.
