Default Bullet stuck in barrel

Ok, so I was out shooting the ML today, and when I was just about done shooting, I decided to give the shockwaves a try.[:@]Long story short, it is stuck half way down the barrel, and I cant get it out. Actually, I took the breech plug out thinking I could push it out from that end, but it wouldnt budge. So how do I get it out? I dont know how the hell guys are stuffing those things down their barrel to shoot, but I know where my box of them are going.

I would not throw them away, your using the wrong sabot switch to a thinner sabot an MMP 24 or a Crushed Rib sabot. Also swab between shots, most sabots won't go down on a dirty barrel.

I've had mine stick sometimes, just squirt some lube down there and throw your ram rod down therea few times to loosen it up.

I wont throw them away, money is hard to coome by these days. Actually, my gun seems to really like the 295 grain powr belts with 80 grains of 777 powder, so that will be my hunting load when I hit the woods iin a couple of weeks. I just thought that since I had the shockwaves, I would shott a couple, and see how the wolf liked those, but didnt even get a chance to shoot one.

Pull the barrel off the rifle if possible. Now take the breech plug out and dump the powder out. Now with a patch saturated with Windex, swab from the breech up to the bullet, and from the muzzle with another patch swab down to the projectile. That should remove all fowling. Now squirt a generous amount of gun oil down the barrel. If you have a long range rod, do it from the breech up. And also squirt some from the muzzle down. Let it sit a few minutes and with a wooden dowel or a long range rod, you should be able to push that thing out.

Switch to a thinner sabot. The same thing happens to me when I shoot a SST with their supplied sabot. The Shockwaves are fine. Also are you swabbing between shots? If one loaded and you swab, the next should load also... Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks guys. Cayugad, I was swabbing in between shots, so the barrel was clean when I stuffed the shockwave down there. I had just finished sighting it in with the powerbelts, and was just getting ready to call it a day so I swabbed the barrel real good. Then at the last minute, I decided to try a shockwave. I didnt even get the first shockwave loaded, before it ended up stuck. I will keep you all posted.

Guys, I am having no luck at all getting that thing out! The bullet is all the way down by the threads of the breach plug. I was thinking I could get it out the breech, but no way. Do I dare find a small dowel, and try pounding on the dowel?

Anything it takes to get that out of the barrel. The rifle is no good to you that way. I'm surprised that the oil trick did not work. I guy brought me an inline he had intentionally slugged the bore with lead, so he could take a reading and know the true bore size.. well he could not get the slug out. So I oiled it and with my range ramrod pushed it right back out.
