I ordered a jug from Powder Valley last week. Just got a shipping confirmation from them today. Total cost shipped is $54 and some change. Man I wish someone near by would stock the stuff.

So is the BH209 that much more superior than all the others? I'll be breaking in my new Genesis soon and I'm just looking to use the best product that will inflict the least amount of damage on the bore. From the reading I've done on this subject, the BH209 is suppose to be the best thing ever. I don't mind paying the extra money if that is in fact the case. Also, can all propellents be used with Remington Kleanbore 209 primers? I.E. Triple7, Pyrodex, BH209, various pellets???

Yes some of us think that it is much better, for one thing no swabbing, I used to spend 2 to 3 times as much time and effort cleaning the crud rings from 777 out as I did shooting, above and beyond that there is the simple fact that some of us that have worked up loads to suit our particular guns with it are getting varmint rifle accuracy at 100 yards and some really decent groups at 200yds. BH has about the same potential energy as 777 FFF maybe just a bit more but it is not near as sensitive to heavy loads. Since a lot of people like 100 gr I will use that as an example, I get 1940 with it with a 250 gr SW I much prefer 110 gr as it shoots nice one hole groups when I do the other half of the job and that load gives me an average of 2045 fps which is fairly flat shooting and very accurate.
Some people squck about the price but its cheaper than 777 pellets per shot and if you buy right you can get a case hazmat and all for about 29.50 per can. Lee

Not sure about the shelf life, but you should be good to go as long as you store the stuff in a dry place.

I really like the BH209. I'll never buy 777 or Pyrodex again.

According to the person that answered my E-mail when they first came out with it it is a very stable powder and should store for 5 to 10 years in a seal original container with no change. Lee

Ordered from the same place a case at a time brings the cost down below most stores that stock it. Lee

this BH209 stuff has nitrocellulose in it. does anyone use it in a sidelock or flinter gun? just curious about pressures. nice to see prices dropping though.
