Default DHL CLOSING DOWN (don't think matters here)

got another bit of news from my father in law.

DHL is closing it's doors. (don't use them. I don't know if anyone on here does)

DHL has been in business in Europefor decades. They came to the US several years ago when they purchased Airborne.DHL appeared to being good at first.

Still it is more Americans looseing their job. Right when jobs (here in Michigan any) are so hard to find that are not part time or such crappy pay you can't afford to work there if you wanted.

That is sure some contrast to here in Lloydminster SK/AB (we are a border city). Some places cannot keep regular hours due to a shortage of staff. If you go to the fast food places, most serving you are from the Phillipines as they are contract workers brought over here to fillthose positions. Currently holding our own as the price of oil dropped after most of the oil companies in our area were committed to their 2009 budgets. August of 2009 may bring some major cutbacks yet.
I have heard of a few people being laid off around here but nothing major so far.
