Well Dave, I did some more checking on this bullet. It is listed as a special purpose bullet as was designed to be shot in the 450 Marlin, unfortunately my trip around CDL yesterday produce no dealers that stocked the bullet. I ordered two boxes this morning from my local outlet.

From all the information I can find - it is a Uni-Core Speer Bullet, therefor the copper should be bonded to the lead. It has a decent BC and and SD and was designed to be shot from 1400 fps to 2000 fps.

I read, I think, Semi estimated 1300 fps with your load and I looked up my velocities for a .458/300 grain bullet with a 100 grains of T7 and I am shooting them at about 1750 fps, andI guess I would like to believe that your velocity is closer to 1500 than 1300 - so I am realy thinking that the bullet would perform very well on a tissue/muscle shot... I know it would on a shoulder shot + it would stay together. I still prefer the tissue/muscle shot with a lot of Hydrostactic on the way through. I am confident enough that I ordered some...

That was the good news - now the bad - some might consider it an over-kill for the average whitetail - but boar-bear-elk -> it could really put the hurt on them as well as the average or larger whitetail or muley.

As soon as some get here I want to tortue test them to confirm my theories...

An a UC said that was some really goot shooten from that Rem...

WOW!! I bought them by accident and they look like a real tuff bullet. 100 grains of Pyrodex P should be a good load. This might be a good hog bullet too for future hunts..

Cayugad,

They are a hollow point and they are built really solid. Also I use an orange MMP sabot with these. I want to shoot more of them in the very near future, but I might try deer hunting with them. I was reading the reviews on this bullet and they are hunting moose and black bear which is impressive if they thing this hollow point will not blow up in animals like that.
