Default disc extreme's first outing

I got out to the range today. to the disc extreme and the apex.

stopped by an gunshot on the way there and picked up a some triple 7 primers.

got to the range set up the targets.

start with the apex
shooting 275grs 45 cal powerbelts with 75grs of pyrodex rs. at 50 yrds. vertical 3 shot group maybe 2in not to happy. moved out to 100yrds, it was why low. started shaking my head. shot 1 300grs plat. it was low. ajusted the scope up could not find where I shooting. moved back to 50yrds. it was 8in high. [:@]
got it back to 1in high. took all 12 loads I had with me to do that. I guess it is going to be 270 plats in this one. 2 in groups 100yrds.

the disc extreme
I started out shooting tc cheap shots to see where the scope was hitting. used 75grs of triples 7 2f. 1in group right above the bulls.
same charge and tried 295gr power belts at 100yrds. damn wind picked up. first shot dead center and just to the right of the bulls. last 2 got hit by the wind. kicked up to 15mph.
fpbs with the same charge vertical group maybe 3in at 100yrds
jumped the charges to 100grs shoot 5 200gr shockwaves why high at 100yrds.

ready for a little info for disc extreme users and fbps. I shoot fpbs with (ready for this) 100grs of triple 7 2f. first 2 touching. I was tired so I blow the group. last 3 where all over the places

pretty much. I may have to do one more range session it may be able to use the fpbs and 100grs. so much for a light charge.

Your disc extreme might not like powerbelts. Try some 250 grain Shockwaves in it with about 100 grains of that Triple Se7en 2f powder and I think you might be much more pleased with the results..

Sounds like you had a nice day at the range. That is the important part.
