KRB second outing
Went down to my uncles farm to shoot my KRB I bought this spring. First group OK with 300gr Barnes Expander MZ's with crushed rib sabots, 2 Pyrodex pellets, Remington Kleen bore primers. First pic is with the crushed rib sabots. Second picture is with the supplied sabots. The supplied sabots were tight as hell. Could get a second shot without swabbing but a third was almost impossible to get down the barrel.

I think I like the supplied sabots a little better for that KRB although they are hard to get down but the group really improves Everything shot at 50 yards. I aimed a little higher the last three shots.

And last but not least. There were about 15 of these little critters running around the barn lot this morning. As I finished up I thought "what the hell".......47 stepped off yards, 250gr Expander MZ with crushed rib sabot, 1-50gr Pyrodex pellet, Kleenbore primer. Next time I'll bring my S&W semi auto .22 handgun for a little more fun and to pass the time while I let the MZ barrel cool down between shots. Anyone for some stew??

That what my Disc will do with those 300s and the supplied sabots...I always clean between shots, so I don't worry about how tight the 2nd is...Mine didn't like the 250s, although my brother's 700 loves them...
They'll do a job on deer as well...

50 yards your gettin' there. I love those Expander MZ, what an awsome bullet. I just buoght 3 packs
$12.95 for a pack of 20. Might want to try BlackHorn to get rid of your problem with fouling the barrel. I shot this group the first time I tried the Expander with a supplied sabot and 100g of Blackhorn, tight but doable loading of all shots. No swabbing. Mine was 100 yards.

I'd be interested in trying the Blackhorn but I though I read on here where it doesn't shoot well with the KnightKRB breech plugs. Something about the dome on it. Maybe Knight will come out with a new breech plug design.
