thanks for the advice i do have the tip for my ram rod i am talking about the hand held bullet starter that starts the bullet 6 inches or so. or do u just use your ramrod. i think its easier to start withe the shorter one but if it ruins the bullets what is the point. maybe i will switch to 250 or 300 grain gold dots and not have to worry. Are they accurate at long range say 150 to 200 yds. need to get some blackhorn to. Thanks to all that replied.

I got to wonder where you came up with the conclusion that app "sucks". We tested all the powders side by side(before blackhorn came out) and it performed just dandy. We cronographed all loads,accuracy tested,glued strain gauges to the sides of barrels,shot at white paper at close range and everything. The only fault we found with jim shocky select was if left exposed to moisture very long it would clump up.

if you like a powder that absorbs moisture like a sponge and has FPS that varys from 2-300fps, use it.

Yeah it does absorb moisture but I still can't figure out where it varys 300 fps-remember we used cronographs,perhaps loading technique was not uniform or seating pressure wasn't uniform-it IS sensitive to that.

With my new Optima Elite shooting 90grJSG with 200gr Shockwaves and spit patching between shots I got a 1 1/4" group at 100 yds. It really didn't like 100gr. Just try different powder charges. Try dropping to 90gr.

APP ffgis so chunky, I only buy the fffg which wasn't on the test list.

I don't know how it's able toabsorb moisture when it's sealed in a jugthat'sonly openedfor the amount of time ittakesto fill a flask.
I load with it fora2weekDecember deerseason using an 11 capand it's never failed when it's fired offafterward at the range.
And itpacks plenty more wallop than I'll everneed.

I heard they also come with one of those little packets like you find in a new pair of shoes that helps absorb moisture.
