G96 cleaner?
Is the one you want for muzzleloaders aerosol spray 'the complete gun treatment"? They make several types non-specific.........mostly for rust prevention and log term storage.............Thanx Harold

RE: G96 cleaner?
Hey P2, I've never seen it around here, so looked it up on the Net. http://www.gunaccessories.com/G96/G96%20Gun%20Treatment.asp
Looks like a petroleum based gun oil, with the "treatment" feature being the aerosol delivery system. The ad says "Gun Oil - Same as Gun Treatment but in liquid form". Probably would be fine for use on muzzle loaders after a good cleaning with soap and water or a cleaning product specifically made for black powder, like Butch's Black Powder Bore Shine.

I've used the aerosol can gun treatment on my firearms.Iusually clean with Hoppes and then use the G96 as a bore protectant. Will use the G96to get into the places that are harder to clean when in a hurry.
Used it in my muzzleloader once and never noticed any problems like rusting.

Just wondering as you hear a lot about using non-petroleum based products for barrels etc?I take mine out and clean them again about a week after cleaning them initially and you'd be surprised what comes out even after the boiling soapy water treatment.........................Harold
