The torch-cam should/could have been better designed such that scope mounting was abit more flexible. The dropping block on the Yukon might be the better approach - butthere is surely a better way than is used in either model. The sticking/stuck problem of the torch-cam is surely not unavoidable.

The rifle should come with a stick of touch-up paint for the receiver finish.

A friend of mine has the Yukon. I don't personally like the drop action of it. The torch-cam is much easier to use in my opinion. One flick of the thumb and it's open and when I shoot CCI's or Winchester primers they just fall out and it's ready for the next one. Makes for quick reloading though I've never had to load quickly in the field. It's all about personal taste though.

As far as the cam sticking. It would never be a problem in a hunting situation. Even with shooting nasty Pyrodex it takes about 6 or 7 shots before mine starts sticking. With BH I can shoot all day and it never sticks.

Thanks TN. I figured it would be long enough for loading, but didn't know how much I'd have above the muzzle. I'll use 100 grains, so maybe I'll have an inch. I planned to use a range rod also.

Perhaps a replacement "universal" rod cut to the length I want is in order. Does anyone know who makes a good one?

If I had thought that this Genesis was flawed, I would not have bought a stainless steel one today.
If you don't like it let me know. I'll trade you a 150# Horton crossbow for it.
