RE: Omega Loads
You most certainly can use 150gr pellet loads!
For closer range shots and if you are using a mag load, use the 338 platinum. Got a report that load being used on an elk and the bullets barely mushrooming and guess what, the longest shot was 30 yards. Heres a report on an elk, and take a look at what Randy Wakeman has to say about the retained bullet weight recovered from the animal. 348gr Powerbelt 150gr mag load. You dont need 150gr charges for 100 yard shots. www.GandersPowerbeltForu.Powerguild.net |

I like what toby bridges has to say about a bullet that does not exit.
http://www.go2gbo.com/forums/index.p...c,22634.0.html 338 powerbelt with 150gr pellets and the longest shot being 30 yards. Keep in mind that 3 shots was not needed but if offers more than one, why not? :D http://www.monstermuleys.info/dcforu...ID14/1842.html 150gr load with 348 AT- http://www.go2gbo.com/forums/index.p...c,26441.0.html And for those from MM who were wondering about the guy shooting a WHITE that was having trouble, heres the link "I knew it was in a long post" http://www.monstermuleys.info/dcforu...ID14/1850.html |
RE: Omega Loads
So because somebody had a misfire because he didn't clean the oil out of his bore you say that is the fault of the white rifle???? If he had forgotten to put the powder in would that be the rifles fault too???
Give it up Frontier Gander. |
RE: Omega Loads
read his problem again Steve.
I was not blaming the white, i was simply asking for thoughts on why it keeps taking 2 hammer pulls to set the cap off. I was thinking #1, the nipple of flattened out and not seating properly and the first hit of the plunger then seats it. while #2 hit sets it off. Or #2, A weak spring? |
RE: Omega Loads
The link you provided said the primer was set off but not the load.
2nd primer fired it. Nothing about gun failure if your bp is blocked. Apologize to flounder:) Steve |
RE: Omega Loads
Frontier Gander, just to refresh your memory, what you said on MM was:
www.monstermuleys.com a member there is having an issue with one of those White rifles To me that sounds like you were insinuating the rifle was somehow malfunctioning. When you read the thread you see that was not the case, the cap never failed to fire. Anyway I'm not here to fight so that's the end of it on this end. Art |
