Have been wanting 1 for a few years now but just did not want to quit useing my Firebolt.
Well, you don't have to completely abandon the old gal you know. Two guns are better than one, three are better than two, etc.,etc. (and then there's Cayugad).
I will definetly pull it out once in a while. Like i said, i love the Firebolt. It is extremly accurate and the light trigger is awesome. Last year i let a couple guys shoot my firebolt, they could not believe how soft the trigger was. A couple times i used my cousins gun at a shooting range and the triggers were so different i actually thought his safety was on ( it was not)due to the harder trigger. Barely touch the firebolt and it fires, i was so use to this i kept thinking something was wrong with his gun.

That black stain is from a combination of solvents and powder residue. My nickel finish CVA Staghorn has the same stain in the breech. It does not hurt the integrity of the rifle. It just makes then look bad. There is nothing wrong with your Firebolt rifle. If it served you well for several years, my guess is it will continue to do so. Although there is nothing wrong with another rifle. And if you want one, then you should have one.

Nickel is nothing more then a blued barrel with a finish. Stainless is just that, stainless. They are a nice barrel. I own a couple of them as well and really like them. Stainless will stain, just less. It will also rust if you abuse it and do not clean it. They are a nice barrel though.
Yeah the spots are not bad at all, I just notice them cause it's my gun.

I just ordered a Kodiak pro camo / SS
I contacted CVA about the Lami T hole stocks and they said none were available
If you find one let me know
Hey saxman, it's been awhile since we talked. I did alot of searching around. I found 2. I bought them both. They are being shipped as we speak. I bought a stainless steel 1 and a blued 1. Cabelas has them but are a bit high. 389.00 and up. I googled cva kodiak pro laminated thumbhole and cva kodiak pro. Had to look at alot of sites and make alot of calls. The Blued barrel was the hardest to find. But i got it for 300.00 shipped from a place in PA. The stainlees steel 1 cost me 344.00 also from PA. The blued barrel was the last 1 they had. I can get you the site for the Stainless 1 if you want. Or you can check out cabelas, like i said they have them. found a few places under 300.00 but they were all sold out of them.
