Default Change of plans for my elk hunt

Found some odd ball powerbelts that i can buy from a gunbroker dealer. 400 grain Aerotip Powerbelts. I am going to order a few packages and sight the Omega in with those and call it good.

Went for a hike Late this evening and my nephew spotted an egg on the forest floor. After some searching, he found a nest with 6 hatched eggs and turkey feathers lining the nest

Some deer and elk poo and tracks running down the mountain.

Wish you well FG. Hope you get your freezer filled. I'm running mighty low on elk. Only a couple packs left.

okay new update

Going with the 405 AT's as the previous post about the 400's were Hollow Points.

Just bought 2 packages of the 405 AT's for $16 a pack, cleaned the store out of them lol. Bought a pound of pyrodex RS for $18 and a life size "at 100 yards" elk target for $5
May go back and spend another $16 for flip up scope covers that i will need. Hate taking a scope out in the woods without covers!

My unit i picked may be out of permission permits that are issued out during the draw. Have to make a call tuesday and see whats left. I still have permission so far to hunt private but will double and triple check and have the land owner write me out a permission slip for me to have on me while i hunt.

So far so good.

80g pyrodex RS and the 405 AT will be some bad elk poison should i get one i one in my sights!
