Default taking a friend hunting this year

taking my best friend out hunting this year. it will be his first season. I have knowen him for close to 20 yrs, since I have all ml's, I am going to let him use one.

he 100% needs glass to shoot. really bad eye sight, so that excludes my new englander,

that leaves my knight usak, which I know inside and out. and the win. apex, which I have not sighted in fully yet and have only shot 24 times (one range session).

I am thinking about letting him use my knight, do to that I have 6 loads for, all hitting the same with about the same amount of powder.

so what ya'll think, the USAK or the Apex, with his build, I think he the apex be more to his liking. the USAK stock was almost too short for me. long arms sometimes suck.

I know I need to take him to the range with both guns and see what he likes.

he may be able to go hunting with me maybe 4 to 6 times do to our jobs. I know I will get out by myself twice to three times as much if not more.

figure we need to goto the range about 4 or 5 times. only have 25 pre load tubes. figuring 50 to 100 loads per gun for him to get use to each gun.

Well I would loan him which ever rifle I did not want to use. After all you're nice enough to loan him a rifle and take him hunting. Of course take him to the range, let him shoot both and see what his opinion is of the rifles..

That's a real nice thing you're doing for him... Nice job.

Good for you. I think every hunter out there. should take someone hunting, wether its a kid or adult whos never hunted before. Its good for our sport. Couple mths back a friend of mine wanted to shoot. never shot a gun before. Well I was in the process of finding loads for my Omega X7 & my new to me 35 whelen. so thats what he shot. He did very well He was surprised at how much detail goes intogetting the smallest groups you can. He had such an adreniline rush after 6 or 7 shots. He ,ll be hunting with me a few times this year
