I picked up a box of fifty .430 300 grain xtp magsto try in my LRH barrel this weekend. I had poor results with the 240 xtp. Do you think the longer for caliber bullet will shoot better than the 240 grain xtp? I know a few guys on the board had success with the 300 grain and thought I would give it a try. Will be using the green high pressure sabot by knight, but would be open to suggestions for other sabots too.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Yes I shoot that bullet with great results. I use a Harvester Crushed Rib sabot. Also do not be scared to put some powder being it. They seem to like a good strong charge. Mine does a good job with them.

Might not be the 240 bullets fault at all. Try a higher powder charge or a lighter one.
I have good results with 230 HP XTP's 240 XTP's both in the 50 cal and 54 cal useing the green MMP sabots in the 50 cal and the T/C express orange sabots in the 54.

I have the 240's packed for the range session as well. Last time my wife came with me to shoot the ml'ers and I didn't want to subject her to a marathon session while I tried different loads to see what it liked. We had already been at it for nearly 2 hours and her interest was waining. I'll pick up some harvester sabots as well and give them a try.
