Goodmorning muzzlers.Recently picked up a KRB7,really pleased so far.I have worked load from 80 up to 95gr. of T72FG and have been happy with the grouping(1 1/4")w/a 250gr.Speer Gold Dotwhen I swab and let it cool. Now I want to run some KnightBarnes "Spitzer Boatails"..245gr/290gr, and some Knight (poly-tip) "Ultimate Slam Series" BarnesPoly Tips 250gr./290gr..My question is for you KRB shooters, have you found abarrel favorite bullet weight in the above mentioned bullets. Also which sabot have you found to load and shoot the best.I don't mind a little snug tight sabot, just not comfortable w/a sabot that deforms on the way down. Can you help me on my way. Thanks,...hunt4me

I've only had my new KRB out once so far. After I mounted my scope I took it to my uncle's farm and here is a group from 300gr XTP's with Crushed Rib sabots, 2 pyrodex pellets, and Remington Kleen Bore primers. Started out way left at first and kept adjusting the scope until I got this 4 shot group at 25 yards. Then adjusted up for the last two shots.

I then moved my target out to 50 yards and used the same bullet/sabot combination but switched to 120gr loose Pyrodex RS cause I ran out of pellets and had some tubes loaded to 120gr. I think it was Chap that thought I wasn't letting my barrel cool enough between shots, the reason for the pattern climbing.

I haven't shot any of the polymer tipped barnes bullets, but my KRB really likes the 250 gr. expander with 110 gr. 777. It also shoots the 250 gr. bonded shock waves well with the same powder charge.
