Got an old innertube?

You really don't need three holes - two will work and perhaps work better. Cut the first one to see what you did wrong and then make the one you will use. The rubber will char a bit but just throw it in the wash with the little parts and scrub it. Does not rust.

Or just use some duck tape.

UC uses duct tape for jist bout everything... but his 3 holer design works kinda goot...

I use the same basic idea but I just use a piece of camo material, usually a thick cotton duck material to accomplish the protection - or even a heavy piece of leather...

Well I shot the Elite 3200 naked today. It held up real well, but I am going to make a cover for it before next time. I tanned a cow hide years back and it is still in the work shop. I should be able to cut something off that hunk of hide besides belts..

I know I'm a Southern boy and all that, and don't know how to handle that cold and snow you have up there. But I still don't see how you could shoot naked in those conditions. [:-]

You have to become a member of the polar bear club Semisane..

You want a real eye opener, take a nice hot sauna and then go roll in the snow. It really gets you refreshed!!! I have always been talking about building a sauna here. I used to have one many years ago at a different place I lived. Then moved andafter that just used the ones at the club. But they had no snow to roll in. It just was not as much fun.... I guess old age catches up to us. Or perhaps common sense...
