Default California Lead Ban

It looks like California is trying to put everybody out of Hunting with the lead ban. Round ball, conicals and any lead core bullets or saboted rounds will be illegal. Time to start looking for some nice round beach pebbles.

Is that all saboted bullets or only bullets with lead cores? What about the all copper bullets out there? I don't know how well they shoot compared toothers, but it's at least something.

At this point the California lead ban only applies the areas of the state where the California Condor habitat, which is a large portion of central CA.

There is a fear that this lead ban will be applied all through the state at some point and probably a valid fear... and is often said "as California goes so goes the rest of the United States" So for me it is a concern. They, the Califonians that passed the law say it is not anti-hunting or anti-gun because you can still use all copper bullets - like Barnes and the new Nosler E-bullet. Just no bullets that contain any lead... so know plinking with 22's in that area... that will help the jack rabbit population they should really multiply now - but then again more food for the Condor.

If Hillary Dillary Doc gets in it might be a mute point anyway....

Once the Hillary and anti-gun crowd that she is in bed with get in control things are going to be rough. Unfortunately I don't think there are enough of the pro-gun voters that really pay attention to what is going on. If so we would have a hard time electing any Democrat. With the media hype about the war and the reluctance to print the truth I am afraid that anyone that supports any of our present anti-terrorist programs will not get elected. I voted for GWB and would again. Not in agreement with everything he does but still alot better than whatHillary or Obama have to offer. I doubt that McCain can beat either of them but I keep hopeing. He is not my favorite on many items either but still the best for the gun crowd. (end of soapbox)

There are a lot of issues goining on all over the country concerning "lead pollution" Ducks eating lead shot and split shot for fishing. Unfortunatly they promoters of these ideas only use data that supports their theory, just like the global warming scam, that was promoted to make millions selling carbon credits. Just because a lot of people agree with a theory, don't make it a fact.
