Default More range time with the GM LRH barrel

Had a chance to slip out and shoot the 21" Green Mountain LRH barrel again today, but the range & bench were still snow covered so I opted for a few offhand shots. Used 75 gr fffg Goex and the 250 gr Lee REALs and was able to hit a pop can sized target every shot at 25 yards. Not a very precise method of testing a barrel & load, but it was fun! Tried 1 shot at 100 yards and it hit about 6" left & 4" low which was close enough the be encouraging. When I get a chance to actually use the bench I'll adjust the sights, but for now it's close enough to plink with. The fffg black powder gave a lot better ignition so I'll probably stick with it. Only fired 5 or 6 shots today, and it cleaned very easily.
I really like this barrel so far!!!!!!!!!

That kind of shooting is a lot of fun. I am looking at seting up a dozen steel knock down targets along side my archery targets on my 3-d range trying to balance the expense against how much fun I could have. Lee

that is some good shooting Wabi. Anyone that wants to try free hand shooting at 25 yards at soda pop cans.. will understand what I mean. That rifle is so well balanced for me. When I pull that up, it just fits me.. I have been shooting the new Disc Extreme the past couple days but really need to get that carbine out again... Good shooting.

I shot mine 3 time today I will keep it I just love the weight and flexability of that combination I know the 1x 66 barrel that came with the gun is going down the road.

If you ever had a intention of shooting roundball, you could not get a better barrel then that 32 in 1-66 twist barrel. That was the one reason I bid on the one I just did. I wanted one of them.

I have a 1x66 in 54 cal that is a good shooter. But like you say Dave you can never have to many guns or barrels.
