I had a heads-up from a forum member a few months agoabout a new GOEX distributor in Marksville, LA - about 160 miles from my house. At the time the distributor wasn't yet listed on the GOEX web site. Well it's there now, called Jack's Powder Keg. The guy is a Judge by the name of Angelo Piazza.
I called him a little while ago. Real nice guy. He's into reenactments - Civil War, 1812, Battle of New Orleans, etc. He became a distributor to assure a powder source for his reenactment club and others.
After our get acquainted chat, he says he sells GOEX by the case for $9.45 a pound. Doesn't like to break cases, but he will. Lots of five pounds or morefor ten-somethinga pound.
Then he says to me; "You ought to buy a 24 lb bulk bag - that's only $9.00 a pound. You should stock up now because I have a notice from GOEX that they are going to have a price increase in September, but it didn't say how much."
I say "I've never heard of a bulk bag of GOEX".
He says, "Yeah, it comes in a heavy duty vinyl bag and it's actually 25 lbs of powder, but you only pay for 24. Some guys want the cans, but most of us use the bag. And a pound of powder in the can includes the weight of the can. With the bulk bag you just take out whatever you want, roll up the top of the bag, seal it with a twist tie, and store it in a military surplus ammo can. It ain't gonna go bad."
So now, he's mailing me the paperwork I need to fill out to buy the stuff, and I'll have a year's supply pretty soon.

Wow, I never heard of a "bulk bag." It makes a lot of sense and it sure would save a lot of space.
Is this something you can get from most Goex distributors, IE: Powder, Inc.?
