Went to the range today as ordered! took the old renegade .50 1/48bbl. 460gr no excuses (borrowed from a buddy. .503s 80gr t7 fff. shot at 50meters, 1st from clean bbl, flyer 6in rt. next 4 1 1/2, then a flyer after swabbing twice w/alcohol patch then 2 dry patches. the next opened up to 2in group then the next one 1in low. then I tried a 460gr bullshop .504 had to pound it down the bbl over 70 gr t7 fff shot 6 to 7 in high from point of aim. One more .503 over 70gr t7fff back in the group. Them big bullets sure get my attention!! Going to try a lighter powder charge next time. I think 70gr be plenty.

Do you have any wads/cards to place between the conicals and the powder? It might really make a difference. I too have tried the conical out of the Renegade. I shoot .54 calibers. Mine shoots conicals well but with 70 grains of powder. I find I can not push the conicals too hard or they start to spread all over the place.

the first two shots were w/out wads the rest had ox-yoke wonderwads .50cals. This rifle has a tang peep. it is the one i'm waiting for the 28in gmb for. Just thought I would try a few big ones with. I don't think those big bullets need that much powder. I'm going to get some swiss 3f and try 70grs of that next.
