Default 2 days in a row I got to shoot

I got a real range sessions in today. learned something, I need use a thicker patch. I was shooting at 50 yrds 80gr pyrodex rs .490 round ball, .015 southern bloomers patch, one set lubed with bore butter, one set with 50% bore butter and 50% crisco, and a last set with crisco. the one that shot the best out of the 3 what the 50/50 patch but it would blow the whole bottem out of the patch.

I made some patch out of pillow ticking. after I shot them I could almost use the patch a second time (shot 3 found 2 patch).

I get the pics up later,

I also scored a little less then 5 lbs of range lead
only got 2lbs out of it thou.

I thnk its time you tried those REAL bullets I sent you. Also I'd try a felt wad under your PRB next time and also with the REALs.
How tight were those PRB going down? My T/Cs all used the 490 ball with .015" patches and shot very well.

When I do any long range shooting, like 500 yards,I have to go
63 miles from here..It is fun though..I can shoot up to 200
right here at home if I want to..If it weren't for the darn phone
lines across the road.I think I could get up to 500 there..
With my luck I would hit one of those lines..

I know johnny it would be shocking.[&:]

sorry. could not help myself.

I think my next range session maybe my a cf. I need to give my MLs a rest. plus I gotta check my savage 110e to see if I got it shooting and get my 22 out and shooting too. or I could take one of my MLs and do a little conical work.
