Well guys, for the first part of my homework assignment, I decided to shoot the .58 Zouave a little. Most of my shooting with this gun has been with 70 grains of either Pyrodex RS or JSG, so I decided to experiment a little. I put a target out at 50 yards and loaded up with 100 grains Pyrodex RS. Took five shots. Here's the target. It only shows four shots. I assume number five went over the top. Bye the way, I was using the LOL sights with the 1/4" aperature.

Anyway, I was getting a lot better groups with my original 70 grain load, so I tried another five shots with 85 grains RS. Here's the target.

I figured that wasn't too bad, so I loaded 85 grains RS again and moved the target out to 100 yards. Here are the results (and the end of homework assignment - Part 1). That 3-inch bull is a bit*h at 100 yards.

Open sights at 100 yards, 2.5" group is excellent. Chap
