Welcome!!! This is amazing, as you will find. Someone,sooner or later, has done it . Shooting, loads etc. I've been shooting mzs since the 70's, thought I knew a lot. Don't know squat compared to some of these guys. This is the go to place for info!! Welcome again to mzldng!! A good habit!!

Gander is right DCH, If you're going with the round ball barrel, get a 54. You won't be sorry.
With the Great Plains, you can always add the interchangable.50 caliber"hunter" barrel with a 1 in 32" twist and shoot conicals and/or bullets with sabots.
