Good morning all.

The range is about 6 miles from where I live:

http://www.azgfd.gov/outdoor_recreation/ben_avery.shtml

It is a pretty big facility, they can easily be heard from where I live. The sound of it is kind of like "Chicken Soup for the Soul" when I go for long periods without shooting.

My daughter is 11 months old. When we go for walks with her in her stroller she usually falls asleep. Is it strange that it fills her dad with pride that his daughter can fall asleep to the sound of gunfire in the distance?

Sorry Cayugad, it is going to be about 66 degreeshere todayin Phoenix. Of course we pay for that in the summer time. July through September the range is closed between noon through 4pm. I guess standing around in 110 degree temps is no fun for the staff!

Hang in there Corey.

Looks the weather will be decent tomorrow. Will take out the Encore and check the zero with my new load of 110 weighed grains of JSG and the 250 grain SST bullet. BTW: JSG ismuch heavier than Pyrodex.

A beautiful day for shooting today. It was 17 degrees out. What more could I ask for. Just a little snow falling, nothing to get excited about. Although it was a little cold this morning. Tomorrow is supposed to be even better...

whoa its warm today! 55* Damn global warming! Its Al Gores fault i tell ya!

Corey, I got that message on my forum, i laughed so hard my eyes filled up with tears! The delete button worked great! I did some shooting today with the 225 grain powerbelts and was amazed with the results i got. I have to take one more shot with 100 grains pyro p then i'll take pics and post the results on the forum. A couple were shocking in a bad way.
