Anti-seize your nipples
#1
An author of a web site devoted to black powder pistols recommended putting anti-seize on the nipple threadsof your cap 'n' ball revolver. I was wondering do any of you do that/recommend it?
Thanks,

I always use antiseize on my breach plugs, nipples and clean out screws. It's a little messy but is far better than a stuck plug, nipple or screw.
Now Bronko, I have to wonder about that flash hole thing. Is that a medical neccessity?
Just kidding, it's a good idea.

I do put anti-sieze on the nipple PART that goes into the breech plug or the bolster - just to be clear... before SEMISANE gets here...

I use a model builders paint brush and just paint a light coat on all the nipples I install in my muzzleloaders and revolvers. It makes them come back out a lot easier...
