Well,we can beat this issue to death if we want and it aint
worth it..I have been casting for 30 years and talked to casters
about this issue several times,,You can if your not careful burn
the tin out..Norman casting temp for pure lead is only about
600 to 650 dergrees...I run mine with the lead and ww's to about
750 degree and it makes a nice bullet, nice sharp edges,etc..
But you do not want to get 900 or higher. This is where you get
the bad fumes from and it is toxic as hell...But there should be
no reason to run this high in the first place....
So lets not beat a dead horse to death...

good news good news, my truck passed, and I found a source for WW, they charge scrape price, which is $.10 per pound right now. I got 42 pounds for $4, (I almost bought 100lbs as weight for the back of my truck) and I got a friend that knows someone who is trying to get rid of lead scrape that are in his yard.
but it is so fun
