The VariFlame made a difference in my overall grouping by about half. I'm shooting < 1 1/4 inch at 100 yards since I made the change.Iimmediatley noticed a big reduction in the amount of crud when swabing the barrel. The Flame is more than enough to light the Pyrodex pellets and they are easy to load and put on the gun...no different than using a 209 primer.

I use 3 50gr. Pyrodex Pellets with a 250gr Shock Wave,in my Pro Hunter. The gun just loves this load. Shot a buck this year at 162yds,and the bullet was right on the money!

Well done...the Encore just seem to love the max loads and I'm sure I could with time find a good load using much less powder. That is my next project is to find the sweetspot for the Barnes TMZ bullets and see how well they work on Elk.

this year i was shooting excellent groups (1-1.5") give or take a little depending on the weather and my nerves. i was shooting a 250gr. SW (black sabot) on top of 105gr. ffg 777.average group size was slightly larger when i used 110gr.powder.
