I got out my old Grey Hawk, it has 1-48 twist.Seemed to like the Gn. 44 cal sabots. I used Speer 240 gr. JSP .429 over 70 grs. of Pyro P. 50 yds. with its open sights and my older eyes kept them on a playing card. Shot 5 times after i got the sights adjusted. Recoil wasn't bad at all. They did load abit harder than they do in my Blk. Dia. 50 cal. Spect they will do right fine out to 75 yds. on deer. I took 2 Doe's during the first ML season with that load in Blk. Dia. both were pass thru's, same load.

A buddie of mine hasa grayhawk and I seen him tack drive round balls and heavy charges of 3F goex BP 90 grains
I here some guys say the 1 in 48 won't shoot RB with heavy charges ;I have a older flinter by t/c 50 cal. and it will tack drive RB with 90 to 100 grains of BP
I played with a few sabot down the bore seem it loves the green keith HP BT 44 cal. 300 grain bullet
I tested them at the 100 yard target and man what groups I think I have a few left somewere laying around I just may try on deer
