I just read a thread on another forum and this was the last thing he wrote !!

"" 11 days of hunting, 12 shots fired, 4 bucks down in 4 days. ""
Is it just me ?? , or is 12 shots way too many shots to get 4 bucks !! What happened to the other 8 shots ?? How many wounded/crippled deer ?? Reminds me of a muzzy hunter i ran into last year while elk hunting , that was bragging about missing 6 bulls in one day . How many did he wound ?? I sure would not be bragging about taking that many shots , sounds like they were shooting way toooo far .
what do you think ??

I usually find the fruits of their lack of laborevery deerseason. Dead deer feeding the scavengers because someone "thought they missed" and were too lazy to follow up the shot by confirming the deer was not fatally injured.

With hunting season now in full swing in many places of the country, the unethical hunter has always been my #1 concern when hunting. Over the years, I have ran into my fair share of them. And the worst part is, they do not seem to care that the manner in which they hunt is wrong.
I was once asked why I hunt with a muzzleloader. The person talking with me told of shooting five times at a deer running through the woods with his 30-30. When I told him I hunted with a .54 caliber black powder rifle that shot a roundball, he was stunned. But what if you need a second shot he asked me? I told him if I do my part right, there really is no need for a second shot. So he said, well what would you have done with a deer running through the woods as he described it to me. I told him, watch it run away and hunt it another day.
There was a fellow who purchased for his kid a SKS 7.65x39mm semi automatic rifle. I stopped and talked to them as they were going to head across a field to some hardwood hills. This SKS rifle holds 10 rounds. About three hours later, while sitting on a stump looking over a nice cedar trail far away from them, relaxing and enjoying the afternoon. I heard RAMBO cut loose with all ten rounds becauseI counted them. I saw them the next day as they were getting ready to head out again. The kid bragged, I had one running and tried to knock it down but it kept going, with this big grin on his face. I then asked him, what was behind the deer you were shooting at? He said, I don't know.. woods. So I asked him, any hunters sitting on that hillside that you were area of? Then I asked him if he was aiming? His father scoffed at me and ******ed his kid off into the field. They did not want to discuss their hunting adventure anymore. I do not blame the rifle. I have an SKS, and have hunted with it. By the way, it takes one shot from them to take a deer off their feet.
The worst is, people I know, they live near me,were making a drive of some thickets and woods. I later learned that one of the people I knew shot another member of the party through the thigh with a 30-06. He thought it was a deer's leg he was seeing in the thicket. The person shot had on brown Carhartt canvas pants that shed brush well, and a blaze orange jacket and hat. My thought was, why did this happen?
While a slob hunter might turn our stomach.. they are out there. A lot more so then we care to think. Consider them when you pick your hunting spot, your hunting partner (there have been a few I sent home), dress out your deer, and remove your deer from the field. Blaze orange does save lives. Be careful out there.

This kind of thing makes me sick. I shot a deer with my bow two weeks ago. Had a good shot, took my time and saw where I hit. I thought it was a good hit, but later went to recover the deer and lost the blood trail after about 200 yards. We searched for two days and could not find her. I agonized about that shot for days. I take every shot with the expectation of a quick kill or I don't take it. Things go wrong, but 12 shots?

Ihad never registered or posted anything onthat site before or ever again . I just don't care for what i see there . But i do really appreciate the ethical manner that is present here.

Hi,
Yeah thats nuts people like that aint got a bit of business out in the woods. I know a guy that like I use to live next to and he is totally dangerous he takes out guns not legal for hunting in ohio and he shoots and shoots and shoots like a machine gun. and im thinking omg this guy needs put in the prison no kidding. This guy is totally nuts out of the woods let alone in the woods. I remember hunting a ridge line once and he came up behind me and you talking scared he does not have a bit of permission on this land but he does it anyhow. Anyhow I had a nice deer coming in to me and his dumb ass comes in behind me and sees it out about a hundred yards away and unloads on it omg I was so angry so I had to quit hunting the woods because of him. I contacted the land owner and reported him well game wardens been running it and somehow he doesnt get in trouble? I dont understand it? of course he can get out of anything I mean ya all wouldnt beleave how this guy talks his self out of stuff. I know this all sounds really hard to beleave but it seriously is the truth so like I said I gave them woods up because of him its sad some iddiot like him is allowed to even own a firearm. He dont care he will go down the road and shoot out the window thats how he usually gets his deer I mean he will do it anywhere of course the drugs will make u do stupid stuff...............Shaun

I thank God today for me moving at the right moment & the guy was too drunk to see straight.
1992 I was in a tree stand on public land during gun season, I was wearing a full blaze orange outfit & he took a shot at me from about 100 yards off, like I said I thank God I had move at the right moment that I did or I wouldn't be here typing this.
Unfortunatly Slob Hunters are out there, the only thing to do is avoid them as much as you can & pray that you are not within their shooting range.
I don't hunt public land any more because of that insodent & I only hunt with certain people..
