Tightest I've ever used was the 245 Barnes Spitfire in the yellow sabot. I don't use them any more or have any left, otherwise I'd send you a couple to try.

The tightest sabot/bullet combination that i have everencountered are the 250 grain Shockwave/SST bullets in thered and the black stepped base sabots. They arehard to load in my CVAMagnum Hunter and very hard to load in my Encore. They also shoot like a dream from my Encore and i wantsome more of them.
TheSuper Glide sabots with the SST bullet do not shoot with a durn from my Encore. The Hornady Low Drag sabots with the same bullet shoot much better but not nearly as good as the original hard to load sabots.

Their is a wide tolorance on muzzleloader barrels, their is also a number of different petal thichness of sabot; it is my experance that to loose or to tight will not shoot good. I like to take the breach plug out and try 6 or 7 differant sabots, I usually have the best luck with the tightest one that will load smooth. Lee

Tightest I've used was Barnes MZs. Usually Hornady pre-packaged combosload snug, but not too tight for me.

I'll second that on the Barnes MZ's. My 250 and 300gr MZ Expanders were horrible until I switched to the Harvester Crushed Rib sabots
