New England shotgun Barrel
#2
Not yet.. in fact I called them last week and we had a little phone discussion about it with the head gun smith, and the turn around time. They said it was "on the bench as we speak" so I figure they might have got to it sometime in the next few days. Also they refunded my shipping with a nice note of apology for the inconvenience. So I do expect it any day. It will probably show up today since it is raining.
Now yesterday would have been great. I took the ancient one (as he is called), my 14+ year old Labrador, for his (and my) walk in the woods and darned if the old devil did not kick up three different birds. Two of the grouse would have been shooters. Whether he meant to do it, and I would like to think he did. Or whether he was looking for a "special spot" and happened to scare them out, I will never know, but it was nice to see him flush birds again.

John you're just good luck. The last time you asked me about the barrel it showed up. I no sooner got done making the last post and FED EX called and wanted directions to the house. Like it's my fault I live where I do. Well they showed up about a half hour later. And I got the thing all put together and it looks and feels really well balanced. If it does not rain tomorrow I am going to take it out and shoot it to see how it patterns. The only worry is, I ordered it with an full choke. And there is no mention of a full choke on this order form. Only that they changed it over to a right handed barrel. We will see what kind of pattern it throws at about 30 yards.

The choke tubes sold for Winchester/Weatherby/Mossberg/Browning (Invector)will fit the T/C. They are a little shorter as in they are not flush with the muzzle when installed, but slightly below it, but they seem to work fine. A lot cheaper than T/C tubes.
