Default large or mag rifle primerconversion for knight??

I was at a little gun shop, i saw a conversion from knight that wouldlet you fire the same primers that are used in .223 and larger. Has anyone heard anything about this?
It is not a 209 coversion

smaller primer + cold weather = a harder time getting the thing on. I dont even like #11 percussion caps for the same reason. I honestly would just convert to a 209 ignition.

I just wondering, I was not going to do that conversion, I would loose half the primers before I shot them.

i can not say I know what you are talking about for sure... but PMwolfhound76 - he is a Knight guru he will no....

The .223 primer will work great... i use a 25 acp in my Omega shooting T7 powder, which is hard to ignite, in all weather and temperatures and it is even smaller than the .223.

My first thought was it might be a "vari-flame" system but I really do not know....

no it was in a knight packaging, it looked like it was a #11 cap with "tongons" to hold the primers in place and small priming pocket the hold primers.

Must be an old conversion. I've never heard of it. I do Know that Knight made a rifle that used plastic 38 cases for use with large rifle primers. It must be a conversion for a Knight plunger gun. Did the holders look like the picture below?

EDIT: I just did a search and found a post on a large rifle conversion. It's a little over a year old.

ORIGINAL: Rebel Hog

Well, when I bought theWolverine I gotit from Cabelas anditcame with cap set-up and then Knight came out with the large rifle primer conversion and I bought itthrough Cabelas. Then they came out with the shotgun primerconversion and I left it with the Large Primer Conversion. Ihave 1500 large rifle primers and it's all I need really!

no on the plastic, yes on the primers, they where metal holder. I did a googled them like crazy, trying everything I could think of.

Wolfhound I think your right about an old conversion. If I get a chance tomorrow I go where I saw it and see what the product # is and copywrite.
I can find the damnest thing around my area. only thing I remember was the price ($70.00)

Well that's one I've not heard of. I knew that company's experimented with the small and large rifle primers for a bit. Kahnke, Marksbury,or Knight started it I think. There were nipples for small rifle primers and large rifle primers. Of course then Knight came out with the Disc and then everybody rushed to get a 209 gun into the market and they fell by the wayside for the most part. I think Kahnke and Marksbury stuck with them only to be eclipsed by the companies that went 209. Ironically the rifle style of Marksbury and Kahnke is what everyone is going to.

Now we have PR bullets claiming that the small rifle or pistol primers are more accurate than 209's. I don't believe that but the 25 ACP ignition does keep my Omega cleaner.
