Usually but not always it is not very economic to purchase pre-packaged bullets. In the case of s.h.o.t.s they are really compeitive, but if the sabot does not fit your gun you are going to have to increase your investment per shot. In most cases it less expensive to buy a box of bullets and a sabot that fits your application.
S.H.O.T.S are aregular jacketed pistol bullet. A 44 caliber300 projectile in .429/50 cal sabot. You can see that is is just a standard soft nose jacketed Hollow point bullet and in this case the it is not even a bounded bullet. It could under the right curcumstances fragment and it could shed it's jacket. Still, I certainly would not call it a non-premium bullet. I believe every bullet Nosler builds is a premium bullet, it is a premium for what it was designed to do.
But I do not think there is anyway that it can match the terminal performance of the Partition in tough shooting conditions or on thick skinned animals.
