more than likely, the plastic disks they use were a turn off, some complain about the design be "harder" to clean. I personally do not care if it takes 5- 10 minutes longer to clean than todays break opens. It gives me time to look over my rifle and take notice of things.

Wolfy has it right mostly... they cut it because of the lack of sales. Which they attribute to it's lack of sights... I have never had a sabot shooter/bp sub shooter that was as accurate as the Elite. Now my Savage is just as accurate if not more so but I do not shoot anything but smokeless from it...
I think it just lacked a corporate push... because it was out of box boring accurate... especially the blued...
By the way... infrequent shooters like the FPJ... has the FPJ hurt sales? With TC's ad campaign? YEP!! But I found it a convenience in the field but an inconvenience on the range...
