Default knight disc elite

i have a new knight disc elite, I have shot it at the range and accuracy was not as good as I expected, I was shooting a 245 grain barnes spitzer bullet and 100 grains of 777. I was wondering if someone has load that will work better in this gun.

I did'n't have luck with the spitzer either. I went back to 250gr barnes expander. Not the Knight marketed ones. I want the ones that are tight in the barrel to say the least.

I am shooting 130 gr Pyrodex pellets and 250 gr Expanders. I tried SST's and results were fair, but I was in a hurry and didn't have time to play with powder charges to tweek a load. I have killed 10 deer with my Knight Extreme using the130 gr/ 250 gr load and have only had one take a step.

Most accurate I have found in mine was the 250 gr Barnes MZ with 120 gr of loose T7 2f.

Try a 200gr T/C Shockwave with 100-110gr ffg Triple Se7en. This is one of the most accurate loads I've found with my Disc Elite .50.

I just got my Disc Elite also and built it up this weekend. I have always used the 250 barnes mz. Well this time I used Hornady SST 250 with a MMP Sub Base. 120 triple Seven 2F. The gun shot some of the best groups I ever had with a muzzleloader 1" groups at 100 yards. I never got a flyer one. I think the sub-Base made a huge difference. If anyone has used a sst 250 with a normal non-smokeless powder gun please that has killed game please let me know how they performed on game.

I have killed 4 deer in last 2 years with the SST...3 shoulder shots and one neck shot...all dropped...I have a buddy that has also killed 4...2 shoulder shots (dropped) and two lung shots...both ran maybe 100-125 yards...Nothing wrong with the SSTs...might be a little "hard"...but with a muzzleloader I prefer a shoulder shot to put them down...

Thank you for the info on the SST. What kind of groups didthe other peopleget from the Barnes 245 barnes spitzer? I wonder if you would use the MMP Sub Base if that would help. I have always had good luck with Barnes bullets also but I tried SST.
