Default Removing the hinge pin on an Encore...

I have a question for those who have a T/C Encore…what do you use to remove the hinge pin? I have been using an aluminum dowel about 6 inches long and slightly under the size of the pin its self. Is there anything that is recommended to use?

T/C makes a couple tools:

I just use a wooden dowel to remove mine. After 2 or 3 taps you can pull it right out.

Unless you purchased an over sized pin, you should be able to do it with your finger. I have three actions and several barrels. I do have one oversized pin that I use for my HB. Just remember right to left going in, and left to right going out. Tom.

Pipecrew,
Thanks for the info it never occurred to me to look at the stores for anything. I guess I though they would have included one in the box if you needed it, but they don't. I just looked at Sportsman’s warehouse today and they didn't carry them but I know Cabelas and Basspro do so I’ll get one from one of them.

Head0001,
My hinge pin is very tight and needs to be tapped out to get it out of the frame and it is that way for at least 90% of its length. Probably not a bad thing but I was beginning to wonder if they were all this hard to remove since I have heard others talk about using an over size pin (couldn't imagine that) on this gun.

Thanks for your replies...
