It sounds like you had a great day on the range. Those Encores are good shooters from all I have read. Glad to hear yours is shooting well.

I took my T/C 1X32mm scope, mounted on my White UMout the other day to shoot and it was completly fogged up. I called T/C and was put on some voice mail thing and left a message for a call back. Well they never called back. So I read the warranty and followed the instructions in there, boxed it up and mailed it back to them so they can fix it. Needless to say I was not all that happy. I could count on both hands, the number of times I have had that rifle out to shoot with that scope. The last time I shot, it was raining. I figured, that since I hunt in the rain, I can target shoot in the rain. Well the results was a fogged scope.

Ya got that right, cayugad! You've got to be able to trust your scope.

When you get that scope back, take it out in the rain again and see what happens.

When it comes back I will be shooting in the first down pour we get. It really surprised me when the scope was all fogged like that.

Cayugad, Thanks for the update, sorry to hear about your scope
I am kinda looking for another 1x scope,I have 2 Nikon buckmasters
and was considering the TC,have to rethink on that one.
Where we hunt up here in Wi. Foggy is no good. We get a lot worse than a little rain.

I could not agree more. I think I might look into a Nikon or Burris. I just lost faith in T/C even if it comes back "good as new" and ready to hunt. But I will put that through its paces "when" if finally comes back.

I was really impressed with the 36 bobcat That is a good 25 yd gun I shot just as good off hand as I did on the bench. I could have been luck with the last 3 shots

Dave, sorry to hear of your troubles with the scope. Its always a disappointment with any type of equipment failure. At least you had the foresight to find out now vs hunting season.

Things like this should make us appreciate the days when everything goes as planned

johnmorris...didnt mean to hijack...nice shooting with encore!

I will say with the T/C Hawkin Hunter 1X scope, when it was working properly, it was very clear and made a very good aiming device. I had no complaints with it until it fogged. I am sure they will just send me a new one. But I think I will get a Nikon 1X in the mean time and then throw that one on an actual Hawkins or Renegade rifle. I thought of getting one of them Tradition scopes you told me about as well and throw that on a Stalker Carbine with a 1:32 twist just for stalking with.
