Default Shot the BS bullets today

Got back from fishing a few hours ago and after i got the fish cleaned out and all the other junk cleaned i had plenty of light left to shoot. First load was 80 grains T7 and i think its a 350 grain conical. 1st and 2nd shot were grouping great and the third shot i pulled a little. I'll have to adjust to the left a couple inches.

Second load and my favorite, 80 grains T7 and a 385 grain Lyman mold conical that BS made for me in .500", Loaded with very little pressure, which i love for a quick reload. First shot went into the 350 grainers previous hole, second shot went into the 350 grainers second shot hole, 3ed shot went smack dead between #1 and #2 shot. At this point, i LOVE these bullets and am going to stock them up big time. The 350 grainers loaded a little tighter but when compaired to the tc maxi huners or great plains bullet, it loaded like butter.Im going to be using the 385 BS bullets from now on. The guy was great and sent me more than what i asked for. Best $8 ive ever spent and got extra! Cant beat him or his prices or the quality of his bullets. I'll post a pic in a bit, gotta go get my stuff from outside before im fumbling around in the dark. This was only 50 yards but late evening and im going to be needing some new glasses soon. Its getting blurry again.

It sounds like you have a good shoot. What rifle were you using, your X-15-? That sounds like a great big game bullet/load.

yes i was using the x-150. Im actually going to get some for my .45 once i figure out the bore size. .20 cents a piece and great shooting bullets, i dont think you can get much better. And the lube he puts on them is great. Has a really nice smell to it and doesnt gum up the barrel at all.

Okay heres the pic. Both #1 shots are kind of hard to see because #3 took out the egged out hole on the #1 shots. And #3 was a flinch/pull. Im not able to get the most out of my shooting rest until i build a table for it. But tonight, a 30 gallon cooler and the rest on top did the job.

I can see why you are so pleased with the conical performance. And you're right, Dan is a great person to do business with. He makes all my conicals for me. I personally like the 460 & 500 grain. I never tried the ones you are shooting.

I love 'em so far. I got great groups with the very first load i tried. I was also shooting open sights. I pulled the scope off the other night, i need to start getting used to open sights again on this gun. I dont have much experience yet with the ghost ring, so im going to do a lot of shooting this month. They did awesome in dim light and the red front sight was perfect and shown crisp and clear. Perfect for where im hunting this year.

Open sights, 50 yard group, that is most impressive. Especially for the first time out with that bullet. It will only get better as you work your load up more.

I had BS make me some .503 for my Black Diamond XR and (the rifle is scoped) they shoot excellent. I want to work on powder charges and load with them, but it would be an excellent projectile.

Cayugad, Did you recommend this bullet to Elkhunter004? I think this would be a great bullet for an Encore or Omega, and working up a load. I agree that maybe a White would be great, but given the parts situation I don't think it is the best choice for a new person to ML hunting. Sabotloader is shooting them in a 1:48 twist TC Hawken persussion with percussion caps. I think they would fly good in most rifles with proper sizing of the BSand good load selection.

FG, I've been shooting BS bullets for a year and you can't beat their price or performance. Congrats on that nice group.
