Pyrodex
#11
Hey now, I am not switching I am just going to shoot some so I will know how my gun likes it if I go on a hunting trip somewhere where the powder cant come along (if I fly). Then if I don't find a place to buy Goex I know I can find Pyrodex. Still nothing like real black powder!!!

Sharp Shooter, you can try Pyrodex P (3f) if you are worried about ignition. It lights off a little more easier than RS or Select in my opinion and costs less than the other 2.
I find black powder hard to find in my area also. I order my Swiss 3f online from Powder Inc. You can order in 5lb lots. Costs about $115 which includes the hazmat and shipping fee.

I would figure a real Traditional Muzzleloader shooter would have read the book and make their own real black powder.
