Default T/C FLINTER 45 AT THE RANGE

WELL GOT OUT ON THURSDAY TOO DO A LITTLE SHOOTING WITH THE 45 CAL. FLINTER FIRST 3 SHOTS ALL TOUCHING AT THE 50 YD TARGET,THEN THE GUY WHO OWNS THE RANGE WAS THROWING SOME OLD CLAY BIRDS AWAY
I ASKED IF IT WOULD OK TO SET UP SOME ON THE FENCE POST AT THE 50 YD TARGET AND WITH 90 GRAINS OF GOEX 3F AND HORNADY RB'S GOT 10 OUT OF 10
THE 45 CAL. BARREL WILL DRIVE RB'S BUT WHEN IT COMES TO CONICALS I YET FOUND ONE THAT THE BARREL LIKES TRIED THE T/C CONICALS
ALSO SOME BUFFALO CONICALS AND ALL SHOOT THE SAME LIKE A NIGHTMARE
I AM GOING TO TRY SOME REALS IF THEY DON'T FLY THEN THE BARREL WILL BE A RB'S SHOOTER
I THINK WITH 90 GRAINS IT SHOULD STOP A WHITETAIL IN IT'S TRACKS
I ALSO RAN A TIGHT JAG DOWN THE BORE TO SEE WHAT TWIST THE BARREL IS YEP IT IS A 1 IN 48

It might shoot the powerbelts. My .45 didnt like the TC bullets either. Or maybe try the great plains bullets?

That's nice to hear that the .45 is shooting so well for you. With that kind of accuracy, then you should have no trouble to harvest a deer with it. As for a conical that would work in that rifle, I have not experience with the .45 caliber, so I have nothing to suggest to you. Of course, with that kind of roundball accuracy you hardly need a conical..

Nice shooting.

i have a 50cal...and i cant get it to shoot conicals either. ive shot powerbelts, tc maxi hunters and the other maxis..., and 2 diffrent buffallo ballets. cant get good enough accuracy to be satisfied...but that thing is a round ball tack driver....so i quit wasting time and money with conicals...i stick with PRBs now. mine is also 1:48 after i too checked lol. it loves roundballs for some reason.

I cant get the maxi hunters to group for crap. I'd be better off throwing spears at the target. I also forgot, But my first ever .45 muzzleloader, i had issues with bullets too and i found Remington 285 grain conicals that shot great until my stock broke. I have no clue what they are called, but they are in a green box. Might just want to type in remington muzzleloader bullets and see what you can come up with. The only bullet i can get to group good are the 225 powerbelts.

MAUSER: NOW WITH MY 50 CAL. FLINTER WHICH ALSO DRIVES TACKS WITH RB'S AND 100 GRAIN CHARGE OF 3F IT WILL ALSO DRIVE THE320 GRAIN MAX-BALLS WITH 80 GRAINS OF 3F EXCELLENT
I CAN ON GOOD DAYS FROM THE BENCH PUT 3 SHOTS INSIDE EACH OTHER ON PAPER AT THE 100 YD TARGET
I ALWAYS SAID NO 2 BARREL ALIKE WILL SHOOT THE SAME LOAD
