I handled one at walmart and liked its balance and everything. The only thing that i wasnt to sure of was the thin lever that breaks the action open. Seemed a little on the thin side and like it could break easily. Other than that i didnt have any real problems with it. Make sure you keep us up to date on how it shoots.
What powder, primers, bullets do you plan on trying out?

waiting is always the hardest part. Time is dragging for me, I bought a muzzleloader and need to send the payment out monday morning and time is just dragging its feet.

Good luck with it and keep us up to date.

ok.. 1st.. I am one of those idiots who posted on basspro.com. I hunted with mine this last season and i've dropped two deer with it in the late season, and my little brother took two more with his. they're good guns for the money. I think you'll be happy. my only suggestion is that I would experiment with 100grains of powder. Although the can handle 150 grains, they kick like a SOB with that 150.

Ouch, putting 150 grains in a 6.5 # rifle would have to smart. I'm rubbing my shoulder just thinking about it.
