Default Show and Tell time!

Show and tell your rifle and gear. We have not done this for a while. I shoot a TC Renegade Percussion 54cal. It likes 100gr FFG Goex and a 425gr Hornady Great Plains. This will be my bad weather rifle.

My other muzzleloader is my new flintlock. It is a Lyman Great Plains 54cal. This will be my roundball rifle. I have not got to shoot it yet but I want to make it my main muzzleloader. Here is a pic of it.

Beautiful!
Mine is a Trade Rifle in .50 perc.
Hoping to get to the range tomorow for the first time with it.
Lyman sure makes a pretty rifle.

My T/C Hawkins 50 cal. Does right nice with 75gr. Gorex and a pactched round ball at 50yds. I had stopped shooting it for close to 20 years because of my eyes getting old. Not as young as my teeth ya know. But the peep site changed all that. Of course Gorex is near impossable to find local.

I have an Austin & Halleck 420 50 cal. This year I used a Barnes
275 gr. (.451) HP in a MMP HPH12 with two 50 gr. pellets of .777
and a 209 primer to take my deer. When the weather improves
I want to try some other things I have learned on here. Those
traditionals sure are pretty. I wouldn't doubt I will have to get
one of those eventually. I tried to send a pic of my A&H. We
will see if it works.

Here's my babies: T/C Encore w/ Zeiss Conquest and a White Mountain Carbine. Got a doe this year with the Encore, next year will be the carbine's turn.

There sure are some nice rifles here... with out a doubt. Alleyyooper - did you mount that scope or have someone else do it? Also did you have to make any adjustments to the trigger to clear the scope? I have been thinking of scoping one of my Renegades for a long time, just to see how far I can actually hit and shoot with a traditional roundball rifle...

Dave, I bought the mounts from Williams, but it is a T/C mount. I had bought the scope the summer before and hadn't gotten around to put it on my sons ( he got the Lep. I bought latter)Ruger so decided to put it on the plains rifle. No mods needed except to remove the rear leaf sight.
Works really well, has a screw to lock it in place if you want while hunting. But I have left the screw out when target shooting and the POI stays where it is set. Same with the removal for cleaning, when I put it back on it is the same as when I took it off.

That sounds like something I want to look into. I think it would be interesting to have a Renegade scoped. Next trip to the city I will talk to my gunsmith friend... thanks.
