50 strokes of JB Bore Paste
#11
I have used the JB for years. Yes it will turn black at the blink of a hat. After u make a 100 or so strokes run a cotton ball thru the bore. If you see any cotton snagged in the bore try another 100 strokes and try the cotton again. From then on use 50 strokes and continue until u do not have any cotton hanging in thr bore. it will slick it up!! I have a 220 swift heavy barrel varmit rifle that picked up 180 fps after I polished the bore.

Well I couldn't stand it. That little snag 1/3 the way down the Kodiak's bore. . . I did 60 more strokes. It's absolutely gone now. Several tries with the cotton ball comes out snag free. All shiny and smooth now, Awesome
. I want to go shooting! Got so many things I want to try . . .

I've shot 51 rounds through my Apex. 34 Ballets and 17 375 SSB. I decided to the do the cotton ball test tonight. I had no snags or catches. I figured there would be no benefit to using the Bore Paste on it. Is that right? Could I expect better performance or not risk its current performance by treating the bore? Or is it better to leave her just as she is?
