Default What would the possibilty of doing these.


They have these in .416 in 350 gr and 400 gr. Could these be used in an sabot designed for the diameter of the bullet. I saw on MMP's websight they have a sabot for that size bullet. this bullet also comes in a .458 and MMP has a sabot for that size too, just curious, could it be done. Seems like it would be a good bullet for whitetail, pigs or Elk. Share your thoughts, if anyone has tried this or something simular, please share your experiance.

i think due to the length of the bullet, they would just tumble out of the barrel like an ak47. Ive always wondered about using a rifle bullet rather than a pistol but the length would just screw it up.

The other problem is the bullet is designed to operate at much higher velocity than you can accomplish out of a muzzleloader and might not open up in a satisfactory way. I also believe that the bullet might not stabilize at muzzleloader twist and velocity.
