Patrick, you can just about bet there will be thumbholes for it - from Knight or otherwise.
One can hope. I won'thave a gun without a thumbhole stock on it unless it's a sidelock or a pistol. I need to get Remington to sell me one of their new thumbhole 870 stocks and forends. It was no-go the last time I tried.

One has to wonder why Knight would continue using what has to be one of the world's worst ramrods. Answer is simple enough but why put a cheap arrow shaft with a poorly attached piece of a jag on... oh yeow, I can always spot sumpin ta complain about. :D
Because T/C bought the patent on the best ramrod. And ironically enough if you look at the new T/C catalog they offer a powerrod that has a handle and a cheap arrowshaft body so you can cut it to fit. So much for hoping T/C would make a quality Powerrod for other makes. [:@]Better hang on to them if you got em.

would never trade a great shooting barrel for one that shoots a bit cleaner.
If my last Omega had a great shooting barrel, or TC had been willing to help, I would still have it.
Don't miss it at all.

Wolfhound76They are made from aluminium dolls its really not much trouble to make them, some of us were making them from plastic and aluminium dolls 20 yrs ago. Lee

When a company sells the product as a "sealed breech" and it turns out not to be, thats when the buyer has every right to complain and do whatever he can to be satisfied.

Wolfhound76 has brought up some very valid points. I had leakage around the breech block on my brand new Omega. I traded out the barrel for an older fluted barrel from a local gun shop. They didn't care less. Both great shooters but my old Omega didn't leak around that little ring groove @ the back of the barrel. New for 2006. See the pic!
It is a muzzleloader not a cartridge gun besides that you also get some blow back on them. Man alive I have can't believe what people complain about any more.

A muzzleloader gets dirty when you shoot it? I'm shocked I tell ya.

I have to add that blow back has not been a problem on my old berated Encore either. But like any REAL bp gun it gets dirty when you shoot it enough. Any leakage you have got has probabally come through the primer pocket and is no big deal. I clean my guns after shooting them whether it is a .22 or a flintlock. I would never trade a great shooting barrel for one that shoots a bit cleaner.

I also for reasons other than his review of the new Knight which looks like a great rifle (although no one will sell it in New England) I just can't stomach Randy. His past has caught up to him and he just proves he gives great reviews to anyone who chucks a bone his way.

I would bet the new rifle is great but not the best rifle out there.

BTW I bet it gets dirty too after a few rounds:D

I won't attempt to make my own. I probably don't have to. T/C is making a powerrod version of their short starter (in new catalog). That may be the ticket. Get a ramrod the right length to use it with the starter end and it might work. It won't have the 1" brass tip but I have a few extra of those anyway.

that knight is a sweet looking gun and I want one too but maybe knight needs to go with something unique to get back on top,the synthetic models of this "new" gun look very much like sidekicks/huntsman, with the features of a encore.. to me knight is still following, the true leader is very much evident..
but I still like knights and want this one..

I see one area that definitely needs a rework IMHO - the shape of the pistol grip section. Looks clunky and pistol-ish as is. Which SHAPE below would you prefer - the funky twist or a design with nice flowing lines (as best I could alter it)?

The forearm removes with a single lever (shotgun style). The small, circular piece at the top front of the hammer is a secondary safety. Rotated forward - no possible contact with firing pin.
