Default TC serial number

I picked up a Thompson Center Renegade today. It was a display gun in a local gun store. On the barrel it has. The 1982 Worlds fair. 1099 of 1982 here is my question. Is 1099 the serial number?

I would guess it is. It sounds like a special run on that rifle. To be sure, call Thompson Center and ask them. It might be a very special rifle....

You have #1099 of 1982 to be built. They built 1982 models in commemeration of the 1982 Worlds Fair. There might be a collectors value there. I am not sure that would be the serial number though.

the number (1099) of 1982 would tell me that it was the 1099th gun produced of only 1982. Limited editions are typically given a number in the line/order of production
