Isn't March historically the month of greatest precitation? Could get dumped on.

Thanks for the sympathy guys, I've decided my best course of action will be to work on the Apex. Got the all space behind the lugs reinforced and I placed the shimmed barrel back in the stock to see how the ramrod fits with the barrel in the floated position. It fits snugly.

It occurs to me that when the barrel is floated, the POI with ramrod in place could be different than with ramrod removed. Has anyone ever heard of this? Its just seems to me that it isn't possible to freely float a barrel when a ramrod is installed. What do you think?
