yup, opening day of muzzleloading season, walking down a rough rock trail with it barrel down, it was misty that morning, -11 degrees, 20 minutes into the walk theres a huge doe standing in a picture perfect view with some willow trees behind her, BANG! no kick, lots of smoke and a running deer. Found the bullet near a little creek i leaped over. After that, i reloaded with a spare powerbelt i had in my bag. 3 days later i filled that tag. That was easily one of the hardest hunts ive ever had.

Next time I shoot some of the Sabertooth conicals, I will see if I can shake them loose like you mention. I only shot ten of them but never saw a problem loading them and shooting them.
i have heard the same complaint with powerbelts actually. I think its definitely a risk. If a guy is unsure, he ought test with a witness mark before shooting at game. A ball puller jag would be handy to get skirt out for reloading. Its horror stories like this that make me think I'll just stick with GP conicals or maybe NE or BS conicals.
